When you get discouraged, do you ever start to question the meaning and value of your life?
Do you know that there’s a spiritual battle raging in the supernatural realm right now over it?
Will the battle between God and the devil ever end? And, how can you be sure you’re on the winning side?
Let’s consider the value of your soul and why is there such a struggle over it.
What is the Source of Your Struggle?
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12
A battle is raging for your soul 24/7 between the forces of good and the forces of evil.
On the battlefield we have:
- God versus the Devil
- Love versus hate
- The truth versus lies
- Revelation versus deception
The source of evil is the devil himself.
And, he is the mastermind behind the spiritual tug of war your soul is in.
His story is told in Isaiah 14:12, 13
“How you are fallen from heaven,
O Lucifer, son of the morning!
How you are cut down to the ground,
You who weakened the nations!
For you have said in your heart:
‘I will ascend into heaven,
I will exalt my throne above the stars of God;
I will also sit on the mount of the congregation
On the farthest sides of the north…”
So, Satan was thrown out of Heaven for trying to overpower and essentially rule over God!
But, he failed miserably. And, his days are numbered.
“So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.” – Revelation 12:9
Every time Satan sees you…he’s reminded of God.
So what is the best way that the devil can get back at God?
– By trying to destroy you.
“So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them”. – Genesis 1:27
What God Does Want You to Know:
- You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14)
- You are made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27)
- You are a child of God (1st John 3:2)
- You are a friend of Jesus (John 15:15)
What the Devil Doesn’t Want You To Know:
The devil doesn’t want you to know that you can have victory over his wiles and temptations with God’s strength!
He doesn’t want you to know that you’ve been given a free will – the choice to either believe his lies or allow God’s truth to set you free from them.
If the devil can deceive you into thinking he’s got a better way for you to live…he’s got you.
He’ll deceive you by appealing to your sinful nature.
He knows your weaknesses and he tempts you into to giving in to them.
Think about your weaknesses.
When you give into them, where are you with God in that moment?
Do you see yourself as deserving a little bit of fun?
But, in that moment, do you consider how you’re breaking God’s heart?
On one side you have the devil deceiving and lying to you about what you deserve.
On the other side, you have the Holy Spirit cautioning you to look away.
But you have the free will to make your own decision.
Eventually, you will deal with the consequences or the blessings depending on how you act.
Why Does God Allow Evil in the World?
Why do we have to live in such an imperfect world?
Why doesn’t God just wipe out Satan now?
He will in His perfect time.
That’s because even though the devil may be strong, our God is stronger!
Rev 20:10 tells us, “The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.”
We also need to be aware that Satan wants to make us think that our life has no meaning or purpose.
People with suicidal tendencies are deceived into thinking that a quick exit is a better way to go.
The devil plants thoughts in our mind that it would be easier if we just ended it all.
This, of course, is a lie from hell.
The source of this deception is bent on taking us down.
Jesus describes the devil to the Pharisees in John 8:44
“You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.“
So when the devil hits you with his lies, how are you to react?
“I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.” Psalm 16:8
Don’t be shaken. Don’t be moved.
Is It True That No Two Snowflakes Are Alike?
“Have you entered the treasury of snow, Or have you seen the treasury of hail?” – Job 38:22
The short answer to the question is yes — it is indeed extremely unlikely that two complex snowflakes will look exactly alike.

So do you think you are worth something to God?
You are like a snowflake. Beautiful to behold.
You’re precious in His sight, unique, and one-of-a-kind.
I remember when I started my career in the world, I worked for a large advertising agency.
It was such a huge company that I felt invisible.
I felt like I was just a number on a spreadsheet.
But with God, you are very special.
So the next time you get down and think your life has no meaning, remember how special you are to God.
He loves you so much He sent His Son to save you.
So hold on to this.
If God didn’t think you were special, would He want you to stay at His home in heaven forever?
Rejoice! You are very special to God and you are going to!.
