In a natural disaster, our most common reaction is to be scared, anxious, and freak out. Yet the first thing we’re told by emergency responders is to remain calm. This is the same command God gives us in unknown or frightening circumstances. He says, “Be still and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)
Children don’t expect you to let them down. They take you at your word and hold you accountable. So why do we assume God won’t keep His promise? Why do we allow doubt, fear, anxiety, and worry to rob us of our joy and faith in God?
