If you enjoy leisurely beach bike rides along the coastal waters of the South Bay, then our Sports Ministry Cycling Club is for you!

All ages, bicycles, and riding styles are welcome to join us for a day of fun in the sun! Whatever your skill level – beginner, intermediate, or advanced – come join the fun, make new friends, get connected, and grow together in Christ!

So grab your bike, helmet, sunscreen, and water bottle and mark your calendar for our 2022 Cycling Club starting up in June, with rides on select Saturdays along our local beach paths.

There’s something for everyone, so invite your family and friends to join you! It will be a fun and exciting ride for all ages. Click on the link below for ride details and map.

Ride Information

Beginner Ride

Come join us for a fun 7 mile roundtrip bike ride from Redondo Beach Pier to Manhattan Beach Pier on June 25. Meetup at 10:00 am on the Redondo Beach Pier at the grassy knoll adjacent to the entrance to Barney’s Beanery. All ages, bicycles and riding styles are welcome, come as you are!

Our first stop will be at Captain Kidd’s for a regroup, followed by another stop at the Hermosa Beach Pier before riding on to Manhattan Beach Pier. We’ll spend 30 minutes on the Manhattan Beach Pier for those that want to visit the Roundhouse Aquarium, or just to take in the sights. On the return we’ll stop again at Hermosa Beach Pier to regroup, then back to where we started.

Intermediate Ride

Come join us for a 14 mile roundtrip bike ride from Torrance Beach to El Porto Surf Food Stand on August 27. Meetup at Perry’s Cafe at Torrance Beach at 10:00 am. Suitable for anyone with some riding experience, come as you are!

Our first stop will be Hermosa Beach Pier for a regroup, then on to Manhattan Beach Pier to regroup again before heading out to El Porto Surf Food Stand. We’ll spend 30 minutes at El Porto Surf Food Stand before returning. On the way back we’ll stop at Manhattan Beach Pier to regroup, then again at Hermosa Beach Pier before continuing to our meetup spot at Torrance Beach.

Advanced Ride

Come join us for a 24 mile roundtrip bike ride from Torrance Beach to Fisherman’s Village in Marina Del Rey on October 22. Meetup at Perry’s Cafe at Torrance Beach at 10:00 am. For this ride it would be beneficial for riders to have some cycling experience and moderate endurance.

Our first stop will be Manhattan Beach Pier for a regroup, then again at Dockweiler Beach before continuing on to Fisherman’s Village in Marina Del Rey. We’ll spend 30 minutes at the Fisherman’s Village before returning. On the way back we’ll stop at Dockweiler Beach to regroup, then again at the Manhattan Beach Pier before continuing to our meetup spot at Torrance Beach.
