Main Scriptures: John 14, Matthew 21, Romans 12

  • Jesus has prepared a place for YOU (John 14:1-2)
    • In the King James Version, the “Me” is Jesus and the “ye” is the disciples
  • Believe in ME (Matthew 21)
    • v. 1 Jesus knows all things
      • He knew the donkey would be there
        • His omniscience gives us confidence
          • Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego believed in God because they knew the word given ahead of time (Isaiah 43:1-2, Daniel 3)
    • v. 3 Jesus has power over all things
      • He had power over the colt (Psalm 8:6-7)
        • He had power over the water He walked on, the storm He calmed, the Gadarene demon possessed man He freed and the five loaves and two fishes He multiplied
          • This is why we can trust Him and do all things together with Him
    • v. 6 Jesus has a perfect plan (Romans 12:1-2)
      • The disciples just had to follow His direction
    • v. 8 Jesus is going to glorify His Father (John 17:4)
      • Jesus did ONLY what God directed Him to do
        • We glorify God by fulfilling scripture in our lives
  • Follow the example of the YE (Matthew 21)
    • v. 1 The disciples were with Jesus (Mark 3:13)
      • They were His witnesses then, and we are His witnesses now
    • v. 2 The disciples walked by faith
      • Jesus is their Lord and gives them specific direction
        • He prepares the owner, sends them two-by-two and gives them the answer for the problems before they happen
    • v.9 The disciples worshipped Jesus
      • Their worship affected others
