- Jesus has blessed us with mercy for the journey
- The blessing of mercy is an essential element to navigate through the plight of humanity
- The blessing of mercy is heaven’s provision for the peace that can be found on our relationships on earth as it is in Heaven with God through Christ Jesus
- Because of Jesus we have peace with God (Romans 5:1)
- We were destitute and without hope
- God is the Father of Mercy (2 Corinthians 1:3)
- He’s the only one who can show us what mercy is because He’s the one who invented it
- God defines Himself as merciful (Exodus 34:6)
- Mercy is the basis of His relationship with His people (Isaiah 63:7-9)
- God entered relationship with man knowing he would need mercy
- God wanted to give mercy to all (Romans 11:32)
- Be merciful like our heavenly Father (Luke 6:27)
- We protect ourselves when we choose to show mercy (Proverbs 11:17)
- God has new mercy for us (Lamentations 3:22-23)
- His mercy is who He is
- For parents, we need to build into our children’s character a testimony of mercy
- God persistently pursues people who have a broken relationship with Him because of His mercy
- Forgive as God forgave you (Ephesians 4:32)
- God blesses us with mercy so we can be at peace with ourselves and others
- God faithfully keeps His promise despite the faithfulness or unworthiness of people
- It didn’t matter what Israel had done–God was at peace with Israel because of His mercy (Isaiah 14:1)
- The Lord requires me to love mercy (Micah 6:8)
- When we put on mercy, it’s not something we do because we have to do it. We do it because we love it
- Jesus came to give God’s mercy. He sets an example for us (Hebrews 2:17)
