  • As God’s children, we have His DNA
    • He is peace, and His sons and daughters should look like peace (Matthew 5:9)
  • The person of peace (John 16:33, Isaiah 9:6)
    • Jesus had the peace of God and peace with God
    • The peace of God is always available to us (2 Thessalonians 3:16, John 14:27)
  • The practice of peace (Psalm 85:8-10)
    • God speaks peace to us through His word
    • We need to hear it and practice it
  • The pursuit of peace
    • Make peace (Psalm 34:12-14)
      • Seek it by breaking down walls and taming our tongues (Ephesians 2:14)
        • It will require great sacrifice, but the sacrifice is a great blessing because it prevents war
  • The posture of peace
    • Take courage (Romans 14:16-19)
      • We are a part of a kingdom where righteousness, peace and joy reign
  • The perspective of peace (Isaiah 26:2-4, 1 John 5:4)
    • He has overcome what keeps us from peace
    • We trust in Him, not our circumstances or experiences
