- They have crucified Jesus
- According to the Old Testament law, blood was required as the penalty for sin (Hebrews 9:22)
- His blood provides the redemption, forgiveness and grace we need (Ephesians 1:7-8)
- Forgiveness is the act of the offended to pardon the offense at their own personal expense
- His blood heals and renews us (Psalm 103:1-5)

- Forgiveness is such a great blessing because it brings peace and relief
- We need to believe this statement and behave like it’s true
- The heart of our Savior during His trial was to cry out to His Father in prayer
- He didn’t doubt His Father would hear Him (John 11:42)
- He is still praying (Hebrews 7:25)
- The priority of His prayer
- He prayed for others because they were His priority
- His prayer was a sacrifice to Him

- He was committed to reach the lost at all costs and prayed accordingly
- The thief on the cross heard this prayer and repented
- He knew the real problem and prayed accordingly

- They were ignorant, but He was wise and prayed accordingly
- This prayer was answered in Acts 2 when 3,000 who had been there heard and repented

- Questions we can ask to be doers of this word, not hearers only
- Has prayer become our custom despite our trials?
- Do we find ourselves having His priority no matter the person we’re praying for or the personal sacrifice to us?
- Will we make it our practice to go into the highways and byways to reach the lost who He prayed for?
- Do we have the wisdom to see our greatest opportunities in the prevalence of so much ignorance about the Gospel?
