Main Scriptures: Joshua 13, Isaiah 42

• v. 1 God makes proclamations with clarity
  • He is not the author of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33)
  • Our lack of clarity often comes from our hearts’ struggle to trust and obey Him at His word
• v. 1b God speaks providentially in a way that spiritually prospers us
  • He knows the plans He has for us – a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11-13)
  • He gives clear boundaries that will lead to our peace
• v. 6 God is a promise maker and promise keeper
  • He promised this land would be theirs (2 Corinthians 1:20)
  • The younger generation would see His promises fulfilled
• v. 15-23 God provides encouragement
  • He has been faithful before (Joshua 1:9)
  • He will be faithful again
• v. 22 God prohibits ungodliness
  • The enemy has a plan to steal, kill and destroy
  • We must trust and obey God to fight the enemy in our lives
