Pastor Jeff

Pastor Jeff Gill has been the senior pastor of Calvary Chapel South Bay since April 12, 2015.

Pastor Jeff and his wife, Connie, began their journey in full-time ministry during 1988 at Calvary Chapel of Vista, then continued for a season working as a team member of “Construction Missionaries” at the Calvary Chapel “Castle” in Millstatt, Austria. Thereafter, for the next 23 years, he was an assistant to Pastor Chuck Smith, founder of the Calvary Chapel movement. Among the many ministries he ran or participated in were: teaching at Calvary Chapel Bible College; providing project management for Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa’s construction projects, both locally and worldwide, including overseeing the construction of radio stations for Calvary Satellite Radio, KWVE and Calvary Radio Network; serving as Director of both the Calvary Chapel Conference Center in Twin Peaks, CA and Calvary Chapel Christian Camp in Green Valley Lake, CA. Additionally, during this time, Pastor Jeff served some eleven years as senior pastor at Calvary Chapel Running Springs. Lastly, Jeff was the project manager for the locating, design and construction of our own Calvary Chapel South Bay campus.

Now in his third decade of full time ministry, Jeff’s real delight is simply teaching and preaching the Word of God and ministering to the Body of Christ here at South Bay. Jeff’s desire for the fulfilment of the great commission has led our church to planting dozens of churches globally, primarily in Central and South America as well as in Africa—he is a frequent teacher at leadership and missions conferences.

Jeff and Connie were married on October 23, 1976 and have two amazing sons—Brandon and Austen, who both serve the Lord in full-time ministry as pastors and worship leaders. In September of 2015, Jeff and Connie welcomed a new addition to the family—Rebecca, who is married to their son, Brandon.
