Where do they meet? Overflow Room

Watching the news today can be depressing, discouraging and disheartening.

Now more than ever before, there’s a drastic increase of violence, desolation, and natural disasters.

The divorce rate is at an all-time high, and the economy is at an all-time low.

We truly are living in the Last Days, which means the second coming of Jesus Christ can be any day now.

  • What are we as Christians supposed to do until Jesus comes back for us?
  • Should we disregard world issues or actively picket the White House?
  • Should we fight for our rights as believers or forfeit our voice—declaring absolute truth, not public opinion?

One thing that’s sure is God’s not dead, asleep, or asking us to sit aside and do nothing.

He is still on the throne and has given us each a vote, a voice, and a job to do while we occupy the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Here at Calvary Chapel South Bay we have the perfect place for you to go for all of your social and political related needs.

It’s time to turn off the news and tune into Calvary Chapel’s Salt and Light Ministry!

Salt and Light Ministry is a non-partisan information center providing resources promoting good government according to Biblical principles, without any political party affiliation.

It aims to better equip Christians to live up to God’s calling on their lives by being His ambassadors of truth in our fallen world, and His administers of His Gospel to a world desperately needing to get saved.

The Bible instructs us to be godly citizens and respect the powers that be, even if they are contrary to what we may believe.

Therefore, Salt and Light is committed to pray for our leaders (pastors, city officials, state and national government), and make the body of Christ aware of social and political issues affecting our faith.

It is designed to inform you of the latest events and legislative activity that may affect your faith, families or freedoms.

You will find many helpful links and downloads that will give you insight and understanding to current issues.

Jesus spoke these words to his disciples during one of His well-known sermons.

He used these two objects to illustrate the importance of “salt” and “light” and the role we Christians play in our world.

Let’s join together to stand up for Jesus Christ and not blend into the crowd.

You can lovingly and respectfully let your voice be heard while you still have the freedom to make a difference.

We look forward to serving you and keeping you informed.
