Brian Mosich was born and raised in San Pedro, California. He has worshiped at Calvary Chapel South Bay since 2011 and served as a fourth grade teacher in the Children’s Ministries since 2012. He also assists with choreography in the annual Christmas play.
Mosich works as a special needs paraeducator for children in the Palos Verdes Peninsula School District and formerly worked as a preschool teacher and developmental therapist. He is a gifted tap dancer and plays the guitar.
Mosich enjoys mentoring children, golf, racquetball, tennis, and watching football. He has been blessed “with a gift of relating to children” and believes their “innocence and genuine joy is something that can only come from God.” Ultimately, Mosich’s greatest desire is to “love the LORD and serve him” as he answers the call of God.
Christian Salviejo was born in Manila, Philippines. He has worshiped at Calvary Chapel South Bay (CCSB) since 2002 and served in Children’s Ministry since that time.
In addition to his service at CCSB, Salviejo has nearly a decade of teaching experience at his home church in the Philippines. Salviejo holds a Master of Science degree in Healthcare Administration from California State University of Long Beach.
Salviejo is employed as a Social Services Director at Carehouse Healthcare Center. He is bilingual in English and Tagalog and enjoys painting, photography, and mountain and biking climbing.
Keeping the Gospel in the forefront of every effort to “point children to Jesus,” Salviejo “has learned to live a life of obedience and humility.” While the work of ministry “is not easy” Salviejo invests his time in teaching the next generation because ” he loves God.”
Ericka Flores Campos
Ericka Flores Campos was born in Hollywood and grew up in Inglewood, California. She has worshiped at Calvary Chapel South Bay since 2012 and served Children’s Ministry since 2014.
Campos is employed as an Accounting Analyst at LinQuest Corporation. She is fluent in both English and Spanish and the parent of two children, a Miniature Doberman Mix, a Boxer and two bearded dragons.
Campos hobbies include floral design, spending time with family, and listening to online preaching and teaching to improve her knowledge of God. While ministering, Campos has experienced the power of God to enable her to do what she didn’t believe she could.
God “has deposited his love for his children” in her heart and soul and has shown her the meaning of unconditional love. It is Campos’ ardent desire to make her life count for eternity, to please God, and grow more in his Word and calling.
Herminia Inocentes was born in Manila, Philippines. Inocentes has worshiped at Calvary Chapel South Bay since 2012. She has served in the Children’s Ministry and the Missions Ministry since 2013.
Inocentes holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Manila, Sampaloc, Manila, Philippines and is employed as a banker at Bank of America. Bilingual in Filipino and English.
Inocentes enjoys movies and cruise vacations. Her purpose and goal in teaching is “to spread the word to the young generation” and encouraging spiritual growth of children.
Lucy Moreno was born in the United States Territory of Tamuning, Guam. She has worshiped at Calvary Chapel South Bay since 2004 and served in the Children’s Ministry since that time.
Moreno holds a Masters of Business Administration from DeVry University, (Keller Graduate), Long Beach. She has worked in the field of finance since 1993 holding various positions to include payroll and travel audit accountant, payroll specialist, and accounting clerk ll.
In 1986, she married Ben Moreno, who also serves as a teacher in the Children’s Ministry. They are the parents of one daughter. A Terrier Mix, Miniature Pinscher, and several parakeets are part of their household.
Moreno enjoys hiking, walking the dogs, and teaching. She is “committed to serving the LORD” and sharing his Holy Word. Each year brings new students into her life; her desire for them is “to know Jesus, how much he loves all of them, and that he can be their “forever friend.”
Nichole Arriola Ensoy
Nichole Arriola Ensoy was born in Makati City, Philippines. She has worshiped at Calvary Chapel South Bay since 2011 and has served in Children’s Ministry since 2014.
Ensoy holds a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines. She is employed in the health care industry as a Registered Nurse at Torrance Memorial Medical Center, Torrance, California.
Ensoy is bilingual in English and Tagalog and enjoys time with family and friends, reading, writing, and swimming. God began preparing Ensoy for ministry while she was young. She grew up taking care of and teaching her younger cousins as well as other children. That experience provided her valuable skills and talents that she put into practice serving at the preschool Children’s Ministry at Victory Christian Fellowship in Lipa City, Batangas, Philippines.
As a teacher, Ensoy has learned to rely on God to “be more disciplined and responsible because most kids learn by example.” She endeavors to instill in the minds and hearts of children the love and trust of Jesus.
Paul R. Perez, Jr., grew up in the South Bay area of Los Angeles. He has worshiped at Calvary Chapel South Bay since 1994 and has served in Usher, Marriage and Children’s Ministries since 1999.
Perez is employed by Mercedes Benz. In 2009, Perez married Julie Perez, who also serves at Calvary Chapel South Bay in the Children’s Ministry; they are the parents of five children. Perez in an outdoors man and avid distance runner. He trains for and competes in 5K and 10K marathons
Teaching has motivated Perez to never stop “becoming a better person and Christian” as he seeks to bridge the gap between the Creator and Creation. Perez has discovered that teaching is much more than repeating a lesson plan and that ” it is ok to be led by the Holy Spirit.”
Sofia Beeks was born in Lima, Peru and raised in both Lima and Hartford, Connecticut. She has worshiped at Calvary Chapel South Bay since 2012 and served in Children’s Ministry since 2013. Fully engaged in care for the church of God, Beeks also serves in the Nursery, Missions, and Prayer Ministries.
Additionally, she volunteers as a docent in the Adventures in Art program at South Bay Junior Academy in Torrance. Beeks was also employed as a bilingual teacher assistant with the Los Angeles Unified School District. Counting it a privilege to be entrusted with the teaching of God’s children.
Beeks’ greatest motivation is to seek “Him daily in prayer and by the reading of His word and to lean on the LORD in all things.” Beeks is bilingual in English and Spanish and enjoys recycling household items into art.
Stef & Peggy Mitrano
Stef & Peggy Mitrano – Stef is an associate pastor at Calvary Chapel South Bay, in Gardena, CA. He has been on staff for over 20 years. He oversees Children’s Ministry for grades K-5th and is involved in missions. He has also developed H.I.S. Club, a discipleship Bible club for kids K-9th grade.
He is passionate about training and supporting those who serve children. He and Peggy have been happily married for 30 years. She serves alongside him in Children’s Ministry where she oversees Mission Sundays, Kid’s hand motion worship team, Drama ministry, and special events. Presently she is teaching literature and composition classes at a local home schooling academy.
Thomas P. Tyler was born in Jackson, Mississippi, and grew up in Los Angeles and Indio, California. He has worshiped at Calvary Chapel South Bay since 2008 and served in Church Leadership, the Men’s Ministry, and Children’s Ministry (CM) since 2010.
Thomas holds an Associates of Arts in Business from Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, California. Thomas is employed as a Project Manager in the construction industry at Angeles Contractor. In 2008, he married Melinda Cash, who previously served in CM and currently serves in the New Beginnings and Prayer Ministries.
Thomas and Melinda are the parents of three sons. At Second African Methodist Episcopal Church in Los Angeles, Thomas served as Director of Christian Education where he was responsible for children and adult Bible studies/classes. Thomas serves in Children’s Ministry because he wants “to make a difference in the lives of young people and see them learn to love the LORD early in life like Daniel.”
Thomas hopes to impact the children he teachers by providing “a firm foundation of faith and understanding of the Word” so that “our young people can [sic] stand against the lie’s of the enemy they will encounter in schools and universities.” In his free time, Thomas enjoys riding road bikes and building.
Valeria Morales was born in Wilmington, California. She has worshiped at Calvary Chapel South Bay since 2006 and served in multiple positions in the Children’s Ministry since 2009. Her service at CCSB includes child care provider, Leader In Training in HIS Club, and kindergarten teacher.
Morales is currently in the Music Education Program at California State University, Dominguez Hills in Carson. She uses many teaching methods to communicate the gospel and seeks to instruct students in “the amazing works God has done and will do when they accept Christ as their Savior.”
Morales is bilingual in Spanish and English and enjoys reading, knitting, teaching, and worship music.
Yara Aguilar was born in Los Angles and raised in Long Beach, California. She has worshiped at Calvary Chapel South Bay since 2005 and served in the Children’s Ministry since 2011.
In 1999, Aguilar married Bernix Aguilar; they are the parents of three children, two dogs, a guinea pig, and a cat. Aguilar is bilingual in Spanish and English and holds a degree in Fashion Design from Brooks College. Aguilar’s desire is for “children to see God’s love and to know how much He loves them.”
Yvette Madrigal was born in Los Angeles and raised in Long Beach, California. She has served in the Children’s Ministry since 1996 and has worshiped at Calvary Chapel South Bay since 1994.
Madrigal has also served in HIS Club and the Jesus, Mommy & Me Ministry. In 1996, Madrigal married Jaime Madrigal who also serves in the Ushers and Children’s Ministries and as Commander in HIS Club. They are the parents of three daughters, a son, and one Chihuahua.
Madrigal is bilingual in Spanish and English and a full time homemaker who homeschools her four children. She “loves teaching God’s Holy Word” and enjoys spending time with family and friends and cooking, crafts, and music. Madrigal’s teaching strategy is to “share God’s gospel and tell of His love and promises.”
